Goodreads is probably my favorite site on the Internet. I don't have Facebook and I hardly use my Twitter account, so it's really my only social networking site. Other than my blog, I don't tend to interact much over the internet with people.
It's not hard to figure out why I love Goodreads - it's all about books. I love being able to track my reading and see what I've read in the past (though I just joined this past year). Sometimes a book will pop up that I recognize because I had read it back in elementary or middle school, then I can rate and mark it as read. I can also find new books to read through the people I follow or based off of the site's suggestions based off what I read before.
There is a social aspect of Goodreads, but I'm not heavily involved in that. I'm more or less there to track books for myself and those I friend or follow. I might join a group or two at some point. I mean, there are some book clubs that could be fun to be a part of. I just need to find the right one.
In any case, Goodreads is awesome. If you're a reader, you should join it. And if you join it, you should add me. I have the link to my profile on the top of my blog and the sidebar. If there are any people I love to meet, it's bookworms.

ReplyDeleteGoodreads sound like a great group to join. Thank you for posting about it because I had not heard of it before. I will have to check it out.

You definitely should if you love reading :)
DeleteI'm also a Goodreads fan. If you're honest with all your ratings the suggestions will usually be spot on too. It's a great site to discover books as well as to track your to-read list. That's the feature I use the most I think.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I like to scan new books onto my 'to-read' shelf when I'm at the bookstore so that if I can't buy them at that moment, I don't have to worry about forgetting what I want to read :)
