A Day at the Bookstore

One thing I like to do on overcast days is spend it at the bookstore.  Since yesterday was overcast, my brother and three of my friends set off for the Barnes & Noble that's about 15-20 minutes away from where we live.  The best part about this Barnes & Noble is that

Reverse Haul (the gifts I gave)

I said earlier that I'd post the gifts that I gave to my family and friends since Christmas isn't about getting presents, but giving them.  Keep in mind that I'm only a teenager and don't yet have a part-time job.  At the moment I make money by babysitting and doing work like mowing lawns and shoveling snow... which really aren't bad gigs.

So here's what I gave to my family and friends this Christmas...

Snowy Days

Living in the north, you get used to the cold and snow... usually.  I guess I can't speak for everyone, but I know that I'm used to it.  I even enjoy it sometimes.

Anyway, the weather today and the next few days is full of snow showers here and there.  Though my family all has 4-wheel drive vehicles, we don't always like to risk traveling in the snow if we don't have to.  So my brother and I are basically snowed in the next few days if the roads aren't looking too good.  But that's fine with us.

Friends Christmas Haul

It's time for another haul.

So yesterday my brother and I met up with our best friends, Clyde and Rachel.  Clyde is a grade above us, but since we play soccer together he's a good friend.  Rachel was our first friend when we moved to Vermont, so she kinda stuck with us (even though she has a few other friends).

Family Christmas Haul

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I know I did!

Everything went traditionally, as usual.  My grandparents arrived Friday from New Hampshire and will be here until Tuesday morning.  Yesterday morning we had our pancake breakfast and opened up presents in our pajamas.  Then we just hung around for the rest of the day, watching Christmas movies and checking out our presents... and shopping online with gift cards (haha).  We also Skyped my other grandparents, uncle and his family to thank them for their gifts.

I got a pretty good haul of presents this year.  I got...

Favorite Pentatonix Christmas Songs

I previously shared Pentatonix's version of "Mary, Did You Know?" because that's my favorite version of the song.  But the thing is, they have a lot of amazing Christmas covers.  So I'm gonna share my favorites.

Merry Christmas!

I'm not writing a long post, it's Christmas and I want to spend it with my family.  I just wanted to wish everyone a good day and hope you all stay safe.

So, Merry Christmas everyone!

The Best Version of Mary, Did You Know

Obviously, I've been listening to a lot of Christmas music this month.  As I'm sure most of us have been.  There are a lot of versions of songs, some better than others, but there's one song that takes the cake on all the newer versions of old songs.

Mary, Did You Know? by Pentatonix.

This version of the song is bomb.  If you haven't heard it, check it out!

Christmas Break

Merry almost-Christmas everyone!

It's the Friday before Christmas and I'm officially on break from school.  It's only until after January 2nd, but that's okay.  It's still over a week of no school, so I'm not complaining.

I'm very happy to have the day off today because I need to utilize my time wisely by Christmas shopping.  I know, it's late, but I haven't had time to get it finished.  So today I'm going out to the mall with my brother and sister to finish shopping.  It's going to be a nice day for us.

Coming Out...

No... not that kind of coming out.

I'm coming out as a bookworm.  Or as my sister calls me, a book-dragon.

Dear Internet...

Dear anyone who reads this,

Hi there!  How are you?  You look great today, did anyone tell you that?  Well, you do.

Who am I?  I'm Eric.  I'm new to this blogging thing.  Before this all I've had is my trusty journal, and well, my twin brother.  He listens to me when I'm having a hard time.  My sister doesn't so much, not that she doesn't want to, but she's got her own things going on.  She'll be going to college soon, so she's preparing for all that.
